Growth Accelerator Briefly

Venture Development Finland has been running a growth Acceleration program since 2015 named Central Finland Growth Accelerator. Every year at least five growth companies and ten startup companies are chosen to the program. In the Growth Accelerator, companies will get individual sparring based on the company's development phase and needs.

On top of individual sparring, Venture programs are made in the Growth Accelerator which allow companies to develop, commercialize, market and sell their products and services inside company-clusters centralized around themes concerning different fields of business.

Working in Collaboration with the Growth Accelerator are Business Jyväskylä, University of Jyväskylä and JAMK University of Applied Sciences. Operative Collaboration is also done closely with Jyväskylän Yritystehdas Oy.

Growth Accelerator goals

The minimum goal of the Growth Accelerator is doubling the revenues of companies. Along with the growth of revenue, improving profitability and financial position of the company, developing operational competence, internationalization and growing company value are focused on.

Goal of the Growth Accelerator is generally to Accelerate the growth of revenues of companies situated in Central Finland and efficiently offer them various professional services to develop their business.

Growth Accelerator program

In the beginning of the Growth Accelerator program, an individual growth plan is made for each company which helps to define the next actions, or steps-to-growth. While planning and implementing the steps, different services provided by Venture Development Finland are related to eg sales development, customer acquisition, breakthroughs, applying for investments and launching international sales are utilized. The program lasts 12-24 months and the pre-Accelerator program lasts 6-12 months.

To whom is Growth Accelerator meant for?

Growth Accelerator is a development program directed at companies seeking for growth. In the program, experienced entrepreneurs and company managers help companies to double their revenue and significantly improve their profits in less than two years. The program is undependable in the field of business, but now companies chosen are supposedly related to health and wellness, digitalization, cyber security, sustainable development or resource-wisdom such as the bioindustry and the smart home industry.

Criteria

Growth Accelerator: cumulative revenue from recent years over one million euros, the company is seeking to at least double their revenue in the coming years, your company wants to go international

Pre-Accelerator: The company is founded, and you are at least on the verge of commercialization, your business has the potential for internationalization now or in the future.
